Oh help me. I listed my wife’s 2007 X3 on Craigslist. I also put it on Autotrader, because I figured, nationwide search for those looking for a rare manual X3. But when you search for manual X3 on Autotrader, there are 47 (FORTY SEVEN) results, of course most are automatics with a “manual mode.” For the Love of Bavaria Motor Werke an automatic that lets you choose gears is NOT A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. For good measure, I flagged a few as ‘bait and switch’ because that’s what it is.
Ok I’m done ranting for now. Wish me luck. Happy long weekend, American Oppos!

Am I the only one who uses car.com over autotrader.com?

From experience I can tell you selling a Manual Transmission car is a pita, and sometimes not worth the hassle

Hmm, I just don’t sell cars very often. For some reason I can’t get that autotrader.com out of my head... something something oversteer... seriously, it might be subliminal.

I’ve sold several, but this is the one that’s probably the rarest for the model of car... does that make sense? I mean, there just aren’t that many people looking for a manual X3. I’d go the forum route but anyone on a forum is going to think our car has ALL THE PROBLEMS and will offer me a bag of airline peanuts and a half-eaten package of beef jerky from the gas station they stopped at on their way. So yeah, I’m not overly looking forward to it.
I would take $3k tomorrow but my wife thinks I price things too low to start. So I listed it a bit high, knowing I’ll get no bites until I come down 20%. We’ll see.
